It includes, where applicable, ZeroScienceLab, eCounter, CodRx, and other Tedlance-branded applications identified in their Google Play listing or in-app notices. An individual App may provide additional disclosures when its features or data practices require more detail. Those additional disclosures form part of this policy.

Accuracy matters. The data collected by each App depends on its enabled features, permissions, and third-party services. The App’s Play Console Data Safety declaration and in-app disclosures should be read together with this policy.

4. How we use data

  • Provide, personalize, maintain, and support the App or service you requested.
  • Create and administer accounts, verify authorized access, and communicate service information.
  • Process user-directed content, learning activity, business operations, or authorized clinical workflows.
  • Monitor performance, diagnose failures, prevent abuse and fraud, and protect users and systems.
  • Measure feature usage and improve functionality, accessibility, reliability, and user experience.
  • Process payments and maintain transaction or tax records where applicable.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms & Conditions.

We do not sell personal or sensitive user data. We do not use health or children’s data for targeted advertising.

5. When data may be shared

We may share data only as necessary with:

  • Service providers that host infrastructure, deliver communications, provide analytics, prevent fraud, process payments, or support operations under contractual and security obligations.
  • Your organization or administrator when your account is provided by a school, employer, clinic, customer, or other organization and the sharing is necessary to operate that managed service.
  • Third parties you direct us to when you intentionally export, send, integrate, or share information using an App feature.
  • Authorities or professional advisers where reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, respond to lawful requests, or investigate fraud and security incidents.
  • A successor organization in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale, subject to appropriate notice and continued protection of personal data.

Each App’s Data Safety form must disclose data sharing performed by its libraries and SDKs. We require providers to process data only for agreed purposes and to use appropriate safeguards.

6. Device permissions and prominent disclosures

An App may request Android permissions only when they support a visible feature. Before accessing personal or sensitive data outside a user’s reasonable expectation, the App will provide a prominent in-app disclosure explaining the data, purpose, and any sharing, followed by a clear consent action where required.

You can deny or revoke permissions through Android settings. Some features may not work without the permission they require. We do not treat leaving a screen, inactivity, or a preselected option as consent.

7. Children and education services

Some Tedlance education services may be used by students through a school, teacher, or parent. Where an App is directed to children or includes children in its target audience, we limit data to what is needed for the educational feature, avoid targeted advertising based on children’s data, use age-appropriate disclosures, and obtain school or parental authorization where applicable.

Parents, guardians, and schools may contact us to review, correct, or request deletion of a child’s information. If we learn that personal data was collected from a child without required authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the data and service, including access controls, authentication, least-privilege practices, monitoring, secure development procedures, and encryption in transit when information is transmitted over public networks.

No system is completely secure. Users are responsible for protecting account credentials and promptly reporting suspected unauthorized access.

9. Retention

We retain personal data only while it is reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain the account, satisfy the purpose disclosed at collection, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, protect security, and comply with legal, tax, healthcare, or regulatory obligations.

Retention is determined by the type of data, the App, the user’s or customer’s instructions, contractual commitments, security needs, and applicable law. When data is no longer required, we delete it or de-identify it. Limited backup copies may remain until overwritten through the normal backup cycle. Where law requires us to retain specific records after an account-deletion request, we restrict them from ordinary use and retain them only for that obligation.

10. Account and data deletion

If an App allows account creation, users can request permanent deletion of the account and associated data from within the App where the deletion option is provided, or through our external deletion page.

  • Deletion means permanent account deletion, not temporary deactivation or freezing.
  • We may verify identity and account ownership before acting to protect users from fraudulent requests.
  • We will delete or de-identify associated data held by us and instruct applicable processors to do the same, except limited records we must retain for security, fraud prevention, contractual, or legal reasons.
  • We aim to acknowledge requests within 7 business days and complete verified requests within 30 days unless applicable law requires or permits a different period.

11. Your rights and choices

Subject to applicable law and account verification, you may request access to, correction of, export of, restriction of, objection to, or deletion of your personal data. You may withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, without affecting processing already completed.

You can change device permissions through Android settings, communication preferences through the relevant message or account screen, and account information through the App where available. To submit a request, contact [email protected].

12. International processing

Our service providers and customers may operate in different countries. When personal data is processed outside the user’s location, we apply safeguards required by applicable law and require providers to protect the information consistently with this policy.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our Apps, data practices, legal obligations, or service providers change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice in an App or by another appropriate method when a change is material.
